Regulatory Amendments made under Immunization of School Pupils Act

On September 18, 2013, two regulations were filed under the Immunization of School Pupils Act (“Act”).

O. Reg. 260/13 amends Regulation 645 of R.R.O. 1990 (General). It includes, among other things, a requirement that schools provide reports containing records for each pupil in the school to the medical officer of health for the health unit in which the school is located, for the purposes of assisting in the accurate maintenance of records of immunization.

Subject to specified exceptions, O. Reg. 260/13 came into force on September 18, 2013.

O. Reg. 261/13 , Designated Diseases prescribes certain diseases for the purposes of the definition of “designated diseases” in the Act. O. Reg. 261/13 comes into force on July 1, 2014.
