In the piece, Heather describes key ways in which firms can maximize the value of cross-team collaboration by establishing a partnership between Marketing and Business Development (MBD) teams and Library and Knowledge Management teams (KM), including employing KM professionals to “help MBD with its goal of delivering the best possible client [event] experience … since KMers are often responsible for monitoring developments in the law and the practice, they can be a source of topics for events. They might suggest agenda items, speakers, learning objectives and materials that can be leveraged or developed.”

On February 14, 2019 Heather was featured on Episode 27 of the 3 Geeks and a Law Blog podcast, in which she discussed the blog post and explained the value of collaboration among the Marketing, Business Development, Knowledge Management, and Library operations of a law firm.
