The Opportunity

The Business Development & Marketing Summer Student will work closely with all members of our small team to execute on key projects over the summer months.

The ideal candidate is a student who is returning to full-time post-secondary studies in the fall and is technically savvy with a keen desire to learn business development and marketing in a legal setting. Enrollment in a program specializing in business, communications or marketing is an asset.

This is a Monday–Friday, in-person, fixed-term (end of August) contract role in downtown Toronto.

Essential Duties

  • Assist the team in maintaining the firm’s CRM system, including data review, contact research and clean-up.
  • Work with the brand specialist to perform annual website audit and refresh to ensure accuracy and relevance, including page redesign, user experience reviews and content updates.
  • Participate in an exciting new marketing automation project from the ground up.
  • Complete administrative duties including preparation and distribution of marketing materials, routine intranet maintenance and support with client presentations.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Enrollment in a full-time university or college program.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail. Experience with copy editing, proofreading and organizing digital documentation an asset.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous marketing experience an asset.
