Litigation Lawyer (5 – 10 Years)

Hicks Morley is Canada’s largest management-side labour and employment firm. Our civil litigators are well-known for skilled and effective advocacy, built through our frequent appearances before the provincial and federal courts at all levels. The range of matters that we have appeared on as counsel is as diverse as our practice areas, and includes: class actions; wrongful dismissal actions; restrictive covenants and unfair competition claims; labour and civil injunctions; judicial review applications and appellate advocacy; human rights and Charter litigation; disputes relating to pension, benefits and executive compensation; business law and employment-related shareholder disputes; commercial contract disputes; privacy claims; disciplinary proceedings; and regulatory litigation before the courts and tribunals.

We are currently seeking an associate with 5 to 10 years of demonstrated litigation or advocacy experience to join our Toronto office. Civil and labour injunction experience is an asset.   

The successful candidate will have excellent academic credentials and an ability to work independently and in a team oriented environment. The individual must have exceptional practice management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a client service orientation. Sound judgment, strong oral and written communication skills and excellent organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills are required in this role.
