Biography
Ashlee Common is a labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She provides advice to employers and management in both the private and public sectors on labour, employment and human rights issues. This includes litigation, labour disputes, grievance arbitrations, human rights and accommodation. Ashlee is licensed to practice law in Ontario as well as New York.
Ashlee obtained her Canadian Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor and her American Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy, graduating in 2017. While in law school, she competed in several moots including representing her school at a competition in Minnesota. She also clerked for a Judge at the Third Circuit Court in Detroit, Michigan. Ashlee has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History and Political Studies from Bishop’s University. Ashlee both summered and articled at the firm before returning in 2018 as an associate.
