  • Biography

Dean Taylor is a knowledge management lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. He uses his research and analytical skills to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the firm by ensuring intellectual capital is captured through a collection of precedents and practice group resources on the firm’s leading-edge intranet.

Dean is involved in monitoring and delivering updates on legislative and case law developments across all of the firm’s practice areas. He is responsible for developing and generating timely client communications, supporting the professional development of the firm’s lawyers and providing training to summer students and articling students.

Dean has over 20 years of experience writing, consulting and providing legal research support to lawyers and actuaries on many aspects of labour and employment law including pension, benefits, executive compensation, data privacy and pay equity. He received his Common Law and Civil Law degrees from McGill University.

Outside of work, Dean enjoys reading and walking with his wife and dog to the local coffee shop. He can often be found cheering on his two teenagers at their numerous hockey games, theatrical productions and musical performances.
