  • Biography

Rachel Counsell is an employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She provides advice and representation to employers and management in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of employment issues.

Rachel has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal in Ontario. Her advocacy practice includes class actions, wrongful dismissal claims, unjust dismissal claims, harassment complaints, worker’s compensation claims and disability claims.

Rachel received her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto. While studying at the University of Toronto, she worked as a caseworker at Advocacy for Injured Workers, a community legal clinic representing injured workers in workers’ compensation claims and appeals. Before attending law school, Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree from McMaster University. Rachel summered and articled at the firm before returning as an associate in 2020.
