Jamie Burns has completed her second year of the J.D. program at Queen’s University. She received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen’s University. Jamie has also completed her Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from Ryerson University. Prior to attending law school, Jamie worked for a health and safety consulting firm, where she developed a keen interest in employment and labour law.
During her time at law school, Jamie has been involved with the Queen’s Law Journal as the Managing Editor of Productions, an executive position with the Journal. In her second year, Jamie was a student caseworker with the Queen’s Family Law Clinic. In this role, she assisted low-income clients with their divorce, custody, access, and child support matters.
In her spare time, Jamie enjoys playing, coaching and watching basketball. She is also an avid reader. She always enjoys a good murder mystery.
