Jordynne Hislop completed her JD degree at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, Lakehead University, graduating with First Class Standing. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies in Human Resource Management from Western University. During her undergraduate studies, Jordynne was a student athlete and served as a Department Representative with the Social Science Students’ Council.
While in law school, Jordynne engaged in many aspects of student life. She was active in student government and was elected as a 1L Representative on the Law Students’ Society in her first year and President during her second year. Jordynne also worked as a Student Caseworker at Lakehead University Community Legal Services where she had the opportunity to advocate on behalf of low-income individuals in Minor Criminal and Provincial Offence matters as well as Residential Tenancy disputes. Jordynne worked as a Dean’s Fellow for Contract Law and enjoyed volunteer roles with the Lakehead Law Journal as well as the Ontario Justice Education Network. In her final year, Jordynne represented her class as Valedictorian, received the class prize for highest grade in Family Law, and served as the Managing Editor of the Lakehead Law Journal.
During her spare time, Jordynne enjoys testing out new recipes, listening to true crime podcasts, and staying active with her family’s dogs.
