Biography

Max Levy is a graduate of the Juris Doctor program at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, he graduated with high distinction from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, receiving his Honours Bachelor of Arts with a double major in ethics, society & law, and history.

As a law student, Max competed in the 2022 Frank W. Callaghan Memorial Moot and was awarded 2nd Place Oralist. Max served as a co-leader of the Global Health & Human Rights Working Group for the International Human Rights Program as well as VP, Media and Communications for both the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the Law Film Society. In recognition of his performance during the 2021–2022 academic year, he was named the Unique Best Student in his entertainment law class. During his 1L summer, Max worked as a research assistant for the Scholl Chair in Health Law and Policy at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, Max worked as a legal research analyst at a legal technology company in Toronto, where he focused on labour and employment law.

Outside of work, Max is passionate about acting, drawing, cooking and travel. He is an avid lover of film and enjoys going to TIFF each year to see the movies he has been closely following throughout their development.
