Biography

Madeline Eskandari graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law as the recipient of four academic awards, including the Laskin Prize in recognition of her being the top ranking student in constitutional law. Prior to attending law school, Madeline graduated with distinction, receiving her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Toronto Metropolitan University, with a major in politics and governance.

As a law student, Madeline served as a Research Assistant to Professor Yasmin Dawood and as an Academic Success Advisor for the Dean’s Academic Success Program. Madeline was also an active participant in the competitive mooting program as both a mooter and coach. At the 2023 Laskin Moot, Madeline wrote her factum and presented her oral arguments in French and was recognized as a top scoring oralist.

Madeline is a classically trained pianist. When she isn’t working, she enjoys reading, playing the piano, and listening to music. Madeline is fluent in written and oral French.
