We Welcome Knowledge Management Lawyer Owais Hashmi to Hicks Morley

Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that Owais Hashmi has joined the firm as a knowledge management lawyer in our Toronto office. In this role, Owais will work alongside our client services team to enhance client experiences by leveraging the firm’s legal technology and strategic insights to improve the efficiency and delivery of our legal services.

As a firm dedicated to developing and maintaining best-in-class knowledge and learning systems, Owais’ addition to our team benefits both our clients and lawyers alike by bolstering our subject-matter expertise to ensure we remain at the forefront of labour and employment law in Canada.

Owais specializes in the systematic collection, organization and dissemination of legal knowledge. He supports our clients and lawyers by diligently monitoring case law and tribunal decisions, providing timely updates on current and emerging legislative developments and developing informative training sessions. He is particularly focused on the responsible use and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies.

Prior to joining Hicks Morley, Owais completed his articles at a mid-sized, full-service law firm in Toronto where he gained considerable experience drafting legal memoranda and analyzing complex legal issues.
