Biography
Kristen Smith is a recent graduate of Queen’s University, Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, she received her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences from Queen’s University.
Prior to joining Hicks Morley as a 2L summer student, she worked as a summer law student at the Ministry of the Attorney General. During her time at Queen’s, Kristen worked as a student caseworker at the Queen’s Prison law clinic, volunteered as an academic tutor, and was President of Queen’s Labour and Employment Law Cub. She participated in the Hicks Morley Moot in 1L and coached moot court teams in her second and third year of law school. Kristen received the Queen’s Law Prize in both Labour Law and Employment Law. This past school year, she was named to the Dean’s Honour List and was awarded the Vincent Principi Memorial Award in Labour Law.
Outside of work, Kristen enjoys going for runs, swimming, skiing, and travelling. She enjoys watching F1 and cheering for the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.
