Tomas Castaldo

Biography

Tomas Castaldo is currently a law student at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Common Law. Prior to attending law school, he received an MBA from Ted Rogers School of Management and an Honours B.A. in Criminology, both from Toronto Metropolitan University. During this time, he also competed on the Men’s Varsity Soccer team, winning multiple Academic All-Canadian awards.

After completing his MBA, Tomas worked as a Business Strategist and Lead Soccer Trainer. In these roles, he guided an early-stage startup through investor positioning and raising capital, as well as helping develop soccer players who later advanced to national and professional European clubs.

While in law school, Tomas was elected as the Co-President for the Employment Labour Law Student Society. He also served as Vice President of Finance for the Criminal Law Student Association and as a Representative for the Association Étudiante de Common Law Athletics Subcommittee. In addition, he was a member of the Norton Rose Fulbright Entrepreneurship & Innovation Legal Clinic, where he provided legal support to early-stage Canadian entrepreneurs on matters including business structuring, contract drafting, and employment law. During his first-year summer, he interned at a criminal law defence firm, gaining experience in client representation and handling various legal matters.

Tomas is Fluent in Spanish. Outside of work, you can find him playing soccer or enjoying time with his dog.
