Biography
Shivohum Nar is a dual degree J.D./HBA candidate at Western Law and the Ivey Business School. Prior to this program, Shivohum studied international relations, history, and political science, where he developed an interest in institutions and organizations.
In law school, he has served as an Associate Editor for the Canada-United States Law Journal, volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, and participated in several moots and competitions, cultivating strong legal research, problem-solving, and client-focused communication skills.
His professional experiences span the non-profit, public, and private sectors, including roles with government departments such as the Labour Program at Employment and Social Development Canada. Through this work, he gained exposure to labour regulations and workplace policies, which deepened his interest in labour and employment law.
He is also passionate about international advocacy. He served as a delegate to the G20 Youth Summit in South Africa and the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting, and engaged with the United Nations Association in Canada on national initiatives.
Outside of work, Shivohum enjoys travelling to try unique foods and drinks, staying active by climbing mountains (2.5 so far), playing very amateur table tennis, and keeping up with global economic and policy developments.
