Andrew Zabrovsky Quoted in Benefits Canada Article on Paid Time Off for Religious Holidays
Benefits Canada quoted Hicks Morley’s Andrew Zabrovsky in an article titled, “Could provincial governments legislate paid time off for religious holidays outside of Christianity?”
While Andrew Zabrovsky says the government has the ability to make changes to the Employment Standards Act and require employers to provide “miscellaneous” paid leave days that could be used for any number of circumstances, including religious holidays, he does not believe this is likely to occur.
