Eleanor Vaughan quoted in Law Times about proposed reforms to Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure

In early April, the Ontario Civil Rules Review (CRR) Working Group released its much anticipated Phase 2 Report, proposing broad reforms to the civil justice system in Ontario. Speaking to Law Times about proposed changes to Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure, Eleanor states the proposed changes, if implemented, would represent “a huge change for civil litigators.”

Given proposals to reduce the current scope of documentary discovery and eliminate oral discovery, she goes on to explain, “the writers of the report have real concerns about the costs and the time that’s involved in this kind of expansive discovery process.”
