We Welcome Five New Associates to the Firm
Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that five new associates have joined the firm in our Toronto, Ottawa and Waterloo offices.
Zohra Bhimani has joined the firm as a labour and employment lawyer in our Waterloo office. Zohra received her Bachelor of Laws from Queen Mary University of London, where she received the award for outstanding achievement in Labour Law. Prior to law school, Zohra completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences, and worked as a research associate with both the London Health Sciences Centre and Simon Fraser University.
Justin Jalea has joined the firm as an employment, labour and human rights lawyer in our Ottawa office. Justin holds dual B.C.L./J.D. degrees from McGill University’s Faculty of Law. He also earned an M.A. from the Institute for the Study of Human Rights at Columbia University, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Alberta, and an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto where he received multiple awards for academic excellence, community engagement and leadership.
Madeline Lusk has joined the firm as an employment and human rights lawyer in our Toronto office. Madeline has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, and the British Columbia Labour Relations Board. Before receiving her J.D., Madeline earned a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto.
Drew McArthur has joined the firm as an employment lawyer in our Ottawa office. Drew has appeared as counsel on various litigation matters—particularly breaches of restrictive covenants such as non-solicitation, non-competition, and confidentiality clauses—and has extensive experience in all issues related to the employment relationship. He advises clients across the country as well as U.S.-based clients with operations in Canada.
Bayley Winkel has joined the firm as a pension, benefits and compensation lawyer in our Toronto office. Bayley has assisted clients in implementing comprehensive plan design changes. He has worked with plan administrators on the review and revision of plan governance materials and provides advice on fiduciary obligations in the pension sector.
