Biography
Danika Winkel is a labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She provides advice and representation to employers and management in both the private and public sectors on a wide range of labour, employment and human rights issues including grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining, labour disputes, occupational health and safety, human rights and accommodation and employment standards.
Danika received her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University, graduating on the Dean’s List. During her time at Queen’s, she travelled to England to complete an International Public Law certification and was selected as a panelist at the Queen’s Feminist Legal Studies Conference. Danika also worked at the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic, representing clients in employment and other contract disputes. Prior to law school, Danika received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours with Distinction) from Queen’s. Outside of the office, Danika is a competitive distance runner and member of a local run club, competing in both road and trail races.
