  • Biography

Isabel de Wolde is a labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She advises and represents employers on a wide range of employment litigation, labour, workplace law, and human rights issues.

Isabel obtained her law degree from Queen’s University (Belfast), where she graduated third in her class. During law school, she received awards for mooting and client strategizing, and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.

Drawing on her undergraduate education at Carleton University in the Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs and her time spent interning in the House of Commons, she approaches legal issues with a nuanced understanding of how public policy and regulatory decision-making influence workplaces. Isabel also completed an academic exchange at the University of Liverpool’s School of Management, strengthening her global perspective on the intersection of business, policy, and legal issues impacting clients.

Prior to joining Hicks Morley, Isabel practiced at a respected employment law boutique in Alberta, delivering strategic legal advice to a broad range of clients.

Outside the office, Isabel is a frequent concert-goer, enjoys cycling to nowhere in spin class, and avoids cooking at all costs – preferring to explore Toronto’s ever-growing brunch scene instead.
