Lauren Viegas

Lauren Viegas is a labour and employment lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. Her practice involves providing strategic advice and representation to employers in both the public and private sectors on a wide range of matters including grievance arbitrations, labour disputes, occupational health and safety, human rights and accommodation, and employment standards.

Lauren received her Juris Doctor and Honours Business Administration Dual Degree from Western University’s Faculty of Law and the Ivey Business School. Lauren was the vice president of marketing on Western Law’s Diversity Committee from 2021–2022. She also served as the communications officer and co-president of the Labour and Employment Law Society during her final two years of law school. Lauren graduated as the recipient of the Eric K. Gillespie Professional Corporation Writing Scholarship, awarded in recognition of a research paper she wrote for a business and human rights law course.

Lauren summered and articled with Hicks Morley before returning in 2024 as an associate.
