Biography

Alessandro Lamanna is a 2L student enrolled in the Lincoln Alexander School of Law J.D. program and Integrated Practice Curriculum. Prior to attending law school, he graduated on the Dean’s Honour Roll, receiving his Honours Bachelor degree from York University, with a double major in Criminology and Political Science.

As a law student, Alessandro has enjoyed several opportunities to develop professionally and collaborate with others to support the student community. With a strong desire to become an effective advocate, Alessandro has worked with several partners on mooting and contract drafting competitions, most notably placing as a semi-finalist in the Hicks Morley Moot Competition. With a passion for helping others achieve their goals, Alessandro has worked closely with students as a teaching assistant for “Contract Law” as well as a research assistant on a large-scale comparative commercial and constitutional law project. He is also a founding member of the Italian Law Students Society, hosting lawyer panels, community-building activities, and a fireside chat with a former Supreme Court
Justice.

Outside of work, Alessandro is actively involved in the fitness and wellness community. His favourite activities include skiing, hiking and yoga. He is also a peer mentor through Toronto’s “Youth Assisting Youth” organization.
