Bowen Ross

Biography

Bowen Ross is a first-year student in the J.D. program at the University of Ottawa. Prior to law school, Bowen received an M.A. in public and international affairs and an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in conflict studies and human rights with a minor in political science from the University of Ottawa.

Before pursuing legal studies, Bowen worked for Public Safety Canada where he held various roles, including corporate strategic planning advisor and policy advisor focusing on emergency management and community safety. He has also completed internships with the Joint Delegation of Canada to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Brussels, Belgium, and with the Human Rights Advocacy Centre in Accra, Ghana. As a law student, Bowen actively engages in volunteer work with Pro Bono Students Canada and the University of Ottawa’s Labour and Employment Law Student Society.

Outside of work, Bowen maintains a balanced lifestyle by staying active in the gym, snowboarding, playing soccer and exploring his passion for travel.
