Biography
Djoully Laube is a law student at the University of Ottawa’s combined political science and French Common Law Program with a growing experience in civil litigation and human rights. Djoully has gained valuable experience through work with the Department of Justice, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and the Vanier Francophone Legal Clinic. Her academic focus and legal training position her to contribute meaningfully to labour and employment law, constitutional law, and public interest advocacy matters.
As a law student, Djoully worked as a research assistant conducting research on French minority rights to introduce future students to these issues, as well as a research assistant in the area of labour law with a focus on employers’ obligations to migrant workers. She will also serve as the Senior Editor Blog’s Manager for the Ottawa Law Review for Volume 57. Through her experiences, Djoully is particularly interested in working with clients to develop practical, accessible legal solutions and is committed to a collaborative, clientcentred approach.
Outside of work, Djoully loves to stay active by running and going to the gym. She also loves reading fiction and dystopian books. Fluent in both French and English, she also contributes to access to justice in minority communities through her work with French associations.
