Biography
Djoully Laube is a law student at the University of Ottawa’s combined political science and French Common Law Program with a growing experience in civil litigation and admin law.
Based in Ottawa, Djoully has gained valuable experience through work with the Department of Justice civil litigation division, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and the Vanier Francophone Legal Clinic. Her academic focus and legal training position her to contribute meaningfully to labour and employment law, human rights, and public interest advocacy matters.
As a law student, Djoully has worked as a research assistant, supporting research on constitutional, administrative and employment and labour law. She also served as the Senior Editor and Blog Manager for volume 57 of the Ottawa Law Review, where she selected and edited bilingual publications. In addition, she served on the Review’s first Artificial Intelligence Committee and co-authored the Review’s second upcoming publication on the use of artificial intelligence in academia. Through her experiences, Djoully is particularly interested in advocacy and is committed to a collaborative, client-centred approach.
Outside of work, Djoully enjoys reading fiction and dystopian books. Fluent in both French and English, she is able to advocate orally and in writing in both official languages.
