Biography
Haneen Bishara is a second-year student in the HBA/JD Dual Degree Program at the Ivey Business School and Western Law. Before attending Western, she specialized in Globalization Studies at the Centre for Global Studies at Huron University College. During her second year, Haneen was awarded a research grant and completed a fellowship at the Centre for Undergraduate Research and Learning, where she published an article on online political activism in diaspora communities.
During law school, Haneen has been actively involved in Community Legal Services, volunteering her time to provide pro bono legal assistance, and serving as a staff editor at the Western Journal of Legal Studies. She also serves as Chair of the Real Estate Law Club and Vice Chair of the Christian Legal Fellowship at Western. Next year, she looks forward to leading as President of the Western Chapter of the Runnymede Society, a non-profit organization focused on teaching students and the legal community about constitutionalism and the rule of law.
Outside of academics, Haneen is a classically trained harp player who remains actively involved in her church community, serving as a youth group leader and community volunteer.
