Summer Student, Western
Biography
Mackenzie Jackson is a student at the Western University Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she earned a Master of Industrial Relations and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in History from Queen’s University.
At Western, Mackenzie serves as the Vice President of the Labour and Employment Society and as a Student Coordinator for the Dispute Resolution Centre. She has competed successfully in several internal moots and competitions, earning first place and Top Oralist at the BLG/Cavalluzzo Labour and Employment Moot, placing first in the Legate Medical Malpractice Moot and the Western Real Estate Contract competition.
Before beginning law school, Mackenzie worked in labour and employee relations for over eight years across both the public and private sectors. Her experience includes collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, dispute resolution, and workplace investigations.
Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys walking her dog, weightlifting, and gardening. She is an active sports fan and enjoys following football, hockey, and golf.
