Summer Student, Western
Biography
Matthew Healey is currently completing his J.D. at Western University. As a law student, he has participated in six advocacy competitions, placing first in Western’s annual BLG/Cavalluzzo Labour Law Moot. He also completed his Honours B.A. at Carleton University, majoring in law and international relations, and his M.A. in global politics at McMaster University.
Prior to joining Hicks Morley, Matt worked in labour and employee relations for over seven years in large organizations in the university, manufacturing and retail sectors. He has experience in collective bargaining, labour disputes, grievance arbitrations, employment standards compliance and labour strategy.
Outside of work, Matt can be found enjoying Toronto’s restaurant scene to avoid his own cooking. He also enjoys walking his dog, going on road trips, and spending time on a golf course attempting to improve his slice.
