Biography

Stephen L. Warner is returning to Hicks Morley after working as a summer law student in 2024. Stephen graduated with distinction from the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, he received an Honours Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto.

After completing his master’s degree, Stephen worked for several years as a press secretary and senior advisor to the provincial government.

As a law student, Stephen focused his studies on labour law and public law, receiving awards for his academic standing in labour and employment law courses as well as for excellence in legal research and writing in administrative law. He also worked as a research assistant in the field of comparative administrative and constitutional law. Throughout law school, Stephen volunteered with the Elgin–Oxford Legal Clinic, assisting with the representation of individuals in appeals before the Social Benefits Tribunal.

Outside of work, Stephen is an avid reader of both history and fiction. He is also a regular jogger and enjoys trying his hand at baking desserts, which tend to taste better than they look.
