Biography
Tega Odjevwedje holds a J.D. from Western University’s Faculty of Law, where she completed Business Law as her area of concentration, and an MBA from Ivey Business School. She also earned a B.A. in Communication and Business Administration from the University of Ottawa.
Tega received the Francis Tardif Memorial MBA Award for outstanding participation in her MBA and the Joyce Thomas Memorial Award for academic excellence in law school. She is excited to be articling at Hicks Morley, where she is looking forward to developing her practice in management-side labour and employment law.
During law school, Tega served as the vice president of student affairs, overseeing Class A and B student organizations, and as co-president of both the Black Law Students’ Association and Western Law’s Wine Club.
She won the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot and later coached the team to multiple top awards, including First Place Respondent Team and Best Factum. Her research experience includes business immigration, negotiation strategies, and
management consulting for startups and blue-chip companies. Tega moved to Canada alone as an early teenager for school and founded her first successful business soon after. Before law, she worked in financial services and customer success roles while building her experience in entrepreneurship.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, anime, hosting friends and exploring new ways to express her creativity through food, art and design.
