Biography

Thomas Trudell is a graduate of the Canadian and American Dual J.D. Program between the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy Law. Prior to attending law school, Thomas worked for the World Bank after he graduated from McGill University, with a major in political science and a minor in French language and literature.

As a law student, Thomas worked as a student attorney for the Federal Pro Se Legal Clinic, assisting at-risk litigants with their federal court matters. Thomas earned the Book Award for the course’s top mark in Advanced Advocacy, Health Law, Transactional Drafting and Indigenous Legal Orders. He competed in three moot court competitions and received Dean’s List Honours in each of his three years in law school. He served as an Executive for the Human Rights Law Association of Windsor and as Assistant Captain of the Windsor Law Hockey team. Thomas was also the recipient of the Ferd J. and Lottie Chmielnicki Endowed Scholarship.

Thomas speaks fluent French. Outside of work, Thomas can often be found at Toronto sports games, golfing or seeking out the best new taco or pizza restaurants!
