Biography
Yara Ubaidat holds a Juris Doctor from Western Law and an Honours Specialization Bachelor of Science in Psychology, along with a Certificate in Practical French. Drawing from a diverse personal and academic background, Yara brings a unique perspective to her legal practice, with a strong foundation in advocacy and legal research.
Throughout law school, Yara demonstrated a deep commitment to student leadership and community-building. She served in multiple roles on the Student Legal Society, culminating in her election as president in her final year. She has worked as a research assistant at Fahmy Law, focusing on workplace investigations, and contributed to interdisciplinary work in health ethics and policy through the Health Ethics Law and Policy Lab at Western University. She was honoured with the Dr. Ian Randall Lerr Memorial Award in her final year of law school for her outstanding contributions to student life and the broader law school community.
Yara now calls London, Ontario home and can often be found outdoors exploring London’s local parks, vintage collection stores and coffeeshops.
Fluent in English, Arabic, and French, she values cultural connection and inclusion in both her personal and professional life. Yara is an avid traveler who has explored 12 countries and enjoys discovering new perspectives through global experiences.
