Overview
The 35th Annual Police Employment Conference brings together leaders and experts from police services across the province to explore emerging issues in policing workplaces. The conference features expert-led sessions on all aspects of labour and employment law, equipping attendees with the insights and tools needed to address complex workplace challenges.
As part of the program, Julia Nanos will co-present a “Labour Arbitration Update”. This session will offer a balanced and practical analysis of significant arbitration rulings affecting police services, drawing on perspectives from both associations and employers. The presenters will also highlight key takeaways to help you navigate the evolving legal landscape with clarity and confidence.
Julia has particular experience advising municipalities with respect to their police department labour and employment matters, including grievance and interest arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations and human rights matters, including issues of accommodation and representation on applications before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
