Successfully represented an employer before the Ontario Court of Appeal on appeal of a decision granting summary judgment in a wrongful dismissal matter.
Successfully represented a financial institution before the Divisional Court on an appeal involving the issue of the enforceability of a “minimum standards only” termination provision.
Successfully represented an employer in having the WSIAT dismiss an appeal on the basis that the worker was estopped from advancing her appeal because of a previous labour arbitration decision.
Successfully represented an employer in a motion to have an action involving allegations of sexual harassment/assault against a co-worker dismissed on the basis that a labour arbitrator had exclusive jurisdiction over the subject matter of the claim.
