Successfully represented a small business employer in a complaint before the Ministry of Labour regarding a termination on a without cause basis.
Assisted in successfully defending a school board client against union grievances alleging that the employer had breached its duty to accommodate an employee’s physical disability.
Regularly represents social services and non-profit sector clients in various labour relations matters.
Successfully represented a financial institution in the Federal Court of Appeal in having an employee’s appeal from a judicial review application dismissed, and upholding an adjudicator’s decision in favour of the employer in an unjust dismissal complaint.
Successfully represented a group of companies in the Court of Appeal in having two proposed representative actions be dismissed on the basis that they were outside the limitation period.
