Successfully resolved between 20–30 wrongful dismissal matters of varying complexity for a large federally regulated organization.

Successfully represented a large school board in a labour arbitration where the union sought compensation for expenses employees incurred as a result of switching to remote work at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. All grievances were dismissed.

Successfully defended a paramedic service against union grievances alleging that the employer breached its backfilling requirements under the collective agreement.

Successfully resolved an appeal before the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario for a large school board where the complainant challenged the reasonableness of the board’s search efforts in satisfying an access request under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Successfully represented a private-sector client at Summary Hearing before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Provided strategic advice to school board clients during in-camera board meetings, and to municipal clients during closed-session council meetings.

Successfully represented several municipal clients in WSIB hearings involving entitlement to benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder in first responders and other designated workers, chronic mental stress and traumatic mental stress.

Regularly appears before the Ontario Labour Relations Board on a variety of construction and non-construction matters including ESA claims, certification applications and status disputes, s. 50 reprisals, etc.

Acted as lead spokesperson in collective bargaining for businesses in various industries.

Successfully renegotiated the collective agreement for full-time support staff across the 24 public colleges throughout Ontario, which covers approximately 12,000 employees.
