Committee To Hold Public Hearings on ORPP Bill

The Standing Committee on Social Policy will hold public hearings in Toronto on Bill 56, the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan Act, 2015 (“ORPP Bill”) commencing March 23, 2015. Hearing dates will continue on March 24, March 30 and March 31, 2015.
Interested persons who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 56 at these hearings should contact the Clerk of the Committee by 12:00 noon on March 19, 2015. Alternatively, written submissions on the Bill may be sent to the Committee Clerk by 6:00 p.m. on March 31, 2015, as indicated on the Committee’s Notice of Hearing.
The ORPP Bill was introduced on December 8, 2014 and passed Second Reading on February 26, 2015. It was referred to Committee for review on that date.
