Overview
Together with AMO, Hicks Morley is offering AMO members important training on a matter that has been a point of focus and, at times, contentious at council tables across Ontario: competing human rights.
Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell and Armin Sohrevardi will deliver a training session designed to help elected officials navigate sensitive situations that pit rights of one group against the rights of others. They will also address what elected officials need to do to fulfill their human rights obligations. The session will include a discussion on hot topics and important considerations for municipalities as well as an interactive opportunity for questions and answers.
