Andrew McCreary Discusses Wage Reductions with the Ottawa Business Journal

Andrew McCreary of Hicks Morley’s Ottawa office was recently quoted in the Ottawa Business Journal for an article on “Wage reductions a delicate matter for employers”.  The article concerned Mitel Network’s recently enacted policy requiring employees to take two unpaid days off every three weeks.   Andrew emphasized the importance of proper employer communication and giving as much advance notice as possible regarding any fundamental changes.  This will facilitate the employees’ understanding of why the changes are being made and will permit employees to determine whether they wish to continue with their employment under these new terms.
