We Welcome Associate David Gruber to Hicks Morley

Hicks Morley is pleased to announce that David Gruber has joined the firm as a pension, benefits and executive compensation associate in our Toronto office.

David advises employers and plan administrators on regulatory, governance and compliance matters affecting pension and employee benefit plans. He has assisted plan administrators with compliance matters and benefit entitlement issues as well as the preparation of plan governance materials and the conduct of plan governance reviews. David has provided advice on fiduciary obligations in the pension sector and has advised employers on matters including plan design changes, de-risking initiatives such as annuity purchases, and plan mergers and asset transfers.

Prior to joining Hicks Morley, David practised pension law with a human resources consulting firm. David is a 2016 Call who obtained his JD from the University of Toronto, where he took the pensions course. His articles at a union-side labour and employment firm included a rotation in its pension and benefits group.
