Currently representing several school board clients in responding to both employment and service-based HRTO applications.
Successfully represented a global retailer in multiple complaints before the Ministry of Labour including regarding a for cause termination of an employee, and a constructive dismissal claim.
Represented a financial institution in successfully having an unjust dismissal complaint before the Canada Industrial Relations Board dismissed on the basis that the Board lacked jurisdiction to hear the complaint because the complainant previously filed a complaint under Part II of the Canada Labour Code.
Successfully renegotiated a collective agreement for Halton Regional Police and its uniform and civilian groups.
Provided strategic advice to a media company in order to successfully resist union certification.
Successfully represented multi-national manufacturing employers in a variety of situations involving wrongful competition and solicitation.
Regularly advises a large school board in labour matters, many of which involve serial grievors who have a tendency of commencing litigation in several forums at once.
Acted as chief negotiator for several large public libraries throughout Ontario throughout successive renewal agreements.
Acted as chief negotiator and strategic advisor in the renegotiation of seven provincial collective agreements into a single national framework for a multi-national courier company. Has continued to advise and negotiate on behalf of that multinational organization for all collective bargaining needs since 2012.
