On behalf of a transportation company, successfully obtained numerous decisions from adjudicators (under the Canada Labour Code) and a trial judge upholding the termination of employees with more than 20 years of service.

Successfully argued before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario that a human rights application filed against a retailer should be dismissed for abuse of process.

Represented a mining company in contempt proceedings against a union and its leadership including a motion relating to disclosure requirements.

On behalf of a food manufacturer, obtained a decision from a court which upheld the termination of an employee for cause.

Obtained a province-wide labour injunction for a global retailer.

Represented a global mining company on various labour injunctions and successfully obtained numerous court orders including a limitation on the number of picketers, an order requiring picketers to remove face coverings and an order requiring the police to attend court to ensure compliance with previous court orders.

At trial, successfully enforced an oral agreement that there was joint ownership over an insurance producer’s book of business. When he left, the court required that he pay fair market value for 50% of his book of business.  This decision was upheld by the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

On behalf of a services company, successfully enforced an employee’s fiduciary obligations. The Court found that this departed fiduciary was prohibited from accepting business from clients even though he did not solicit them.
