Attendance Management Training Workshop

Employee absenteeism is one of the most challenging issues an employer faces. From administering an attendance management plan, to dealing with chronic absenteeism, to terminating an employee’s employment for failure to report to work, employers are often treading cautiously so as not to infringe on an employee’s privacy or human rights.

Kathleen Kennedy

Kathleen Kennedy is a recent graduate of the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, Kathleen received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. After her undergraduate degree, Kathleen completed her Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management which sparked her interest in labour and employment law.

Alaa Akbik

Alaa Akbik obtained her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. Prior to law school, she received her Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Guelph.

Meghan Hawa

Meghan Hawa is returning to Hicks Morley after working as a summer law student in 2023. Meghan graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to attending law school, she graduated Summa Cum Laude at York University where she received a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts in gender studies. She also received a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a minor in psychology from the University of Ottawa.

Matthew Wronko

Matthew is a graduate of Western Law. Prior to law school, Matthew completed his B.A. Honours in applied economics at Queen’s University. Matthew is returning as an articling student after spending his 2L summer with Hicks Morley.

Nassima Kaddoura

Nassima Kaddoura received her Juris Doctor from Western University, where she also obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology. While at Western, Nassima volunteered for the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants and as a caseworker for the Sport Solution Clinic. She also served as Program Coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada Western Chapter.

Andrew Schjerning

Andrew Schjerning is a recent graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law. Prior to attending law school, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Queen’s University, graduating with distinction.

Milana Grahovac

Milana Grahovac is a graduate of the J.D. Program at the University of Toronto. Prior to attending law school, Milana attended the University of Ottawa where she was an Academic All Canadian by maintaining her status on the Dean’s Honour Roll while playing for the Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team. She graduated with a Honours Bachelors of Arts with a Specialization in Psychology and a Minor in Law.

Madeline Eskandari

Madeline Eskandari graduated from the J.D. program at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law as the recipient of four academic awards, including the Laskin Prize in recognition of her being the top ranking student in constitutional law. Prior to attending law school, Madeline graduated with distinction, receiving her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Toronto Metropolitan University, with a major in politics and governance.
