Laura Buck is a labour, employment and human rights lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Waterloo office. She advises employers in all aspects of the employment relationship including issues related to hiring, discipline, accommodation and termination.

Laura has successfully defended employers in a wide range of claims including wrongful dismissal actions, human rights applications and contractual disputes. She has a diverse range of experience in civil and commercial litigation. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Laura provides strategic, timely advice to her clients to assist in proactively managing workplace disputes. Laura is dedicated to helping employers navigate the complexities of the modern workplace. She assists clients to address challenges before they escalate, providing timely and practical guidance. When dispute arise, Laura brings a strategic, solutions-focused approach to resolution. Whether through negotiation, mediation or litigation, her goal is always to protect her clients’ interests while preserving workplace relationships where possible.
