  • Biography

Laura Buck is a labour, employment and human rights lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Waterloo office. She advises employers in all aspects of the employment relationship including issues related to hiring, discipline, accommodation and termination.

Laura has successfully defended employers in a wide range of claims including wrongful dismissal actions, human rights applications and contractual disputes. She has a diverse range of experience in civil and commercial litigation. She has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Ontario Court of Justice, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Laura provides strategic, timely advice to her clients to assist in proactively managing workplace disputes. She is a strong advocate and a clear communicator.

Outside of her practice Laura enjoys long-distance running and spending time outdoors. She is dedicated to volunteerism and community leadership. She volunteers her time with Pro Bono Ontario and Extend-a-Family Waterloo Region.
