Biography
Rebecca Liu is a labour lawyer in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office. She predominantly represents unionized employers, with a particular focus in healthcare, municipal, transportation and nuclear sectors. As an experienced litigator, she represents employers in grievance arbitrations, interest arbitrations, labour board proceedings and human rights complaints.
Rebecca is committed to understanding her clients’ business needs and operations. She prides herself on being a trusted adviser and problem-solver for clients’ human resources and labour relations needs. A responsive and accessible lawyer, Rebecca takes the time to understand how a particular inquiry or case affects the client’s bigger picture and long-term goals.
Outside of her practice, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, including two young children who both fulfill and exasperate her in equal measure. She loves travelling and going on overnight hiking trips, but her current travels are limited to kid-friendly locations such as Rochester, New York and Great Wolf Lodge.
