Overview
The Schedule 2 Employers Group annual industry conference gathers Schedule 2 employers from across Ontario to learn about current issues and new advancements in the fields of workers’ compensation, disability management, employee wellness, and workplace health and safety. The conference features networking events, speakers on relevant hot-topic issues and exhibits.
In a session beginning at 1:00 p.m., Edward O’Dwyer and Stephanie Savoni will provide a briefing on key recent cases that impact Schedule 2 employers. They will touch on:
- WSIB and WSIAT mental stress decisions
- right to sue decisions post-Morningstar
- HRTO decisions on the overlap between WSIB and HRTO issues and how to prevent re-litigation
- the Monk line of cases and recent decisions that will help you know when and how to limit WSIB liability post-termination of employment
