Federal employers are now in the final year of preparation for compliance with the new Federal Pay Equity Act requirements which require a draft plan by June 30, 2024 and a finalized plan by August 31, 2024. As a human resources professional, you need to ensure your organization is undertaking the necessary analyses to achieve pay equity under the new legislation. Is your organization ready?

In this session hosted by the HRPA, Carolyn Kay and Lauri Reesor will lead an interactive discussion and share what you need to know as you prepare your organization for the road ahead.

Carolyn and Lauri are two of the very few management-side lawyers in Ontario with extensive pay equity expertise. Their expertise extends to both Ontario and federal pay equity, and they advise employers on compliance issues. They provide training and frequently speak about pay equity to employer groups—including the HRPA—as well as to individual employers. They represent employers in any litigation that may ensue at the Ontario Pay Equity Commission and Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal, and the Federal Pay Equity Commission.
