Jacqueline Luksha will be speaking at WIFT+ Toronto’s Introduction to Entertainment Law Workshop where she will explore the legal frameworks influencing the screen-based industry.
Jacqueline’s joint-session will provide an in-depth look at contractual customs and industry practices. During the workshop, Jacqueline will discuss applicable workplace laws, their application in the industry, and key do’s and don’ts for navigating within this unique environment. The session will cover drafting and negotiating key agreement terms across talent, writer, and production contracts, as well as the fundamentals of personal service agreements and standard form contracts such as appearance and location releases. Participants will gain valuable insight into working with unions, guilds, broadcasters, and distributors, and develop a clearer understanding of how to navigate complex negotiations.
