Overview
Managing WSIB claims has become increasingly complex. Many issues are impacting employers’ WSIB claims costs, including unsuccessful return-to-work efforts, complicated injuries, psychological conditions, pre-existing conditions, and a lack of monitoring and progress. This workshop will provide a detailed overview of the life of a WSIB claim, along with strategies to better manage these challenging issues.
Format:
Using real-world examples and hypothetical scenarios, attendees will go through an in-depth analysis of each stage of a WSIB claim. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply the tools and strategies they learn, and will receive helpful templates to assist with effectively managing their claims.
Audience and Learning Objectives:
This workshop is designed for frontline human resources and disability management professionals with a beginner to moderate level of WSIB claims management experience. The workshop will provide attendees with a thorough understanding of WSIB claims, enabling them to navigate the process with confidence, ensure compliance, and contribute strategically to their organization’s risk and claims cost management efforts.
Hicks Morley will endeavour to accommodate guests with a disability in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code guidelines and other applicable legislation. If you require any accommodations for this event, please indicate the nature of the accommodation below.
Please note that in order to maximize the experience of attendees, spaces in the workshop will be limited. We encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.
